Appointments

The surgery operates various appointment systems.  You can make an appointment by telephoning the surgery or by calling at the surgery during the opening hours.

Our practice operates an automatic answering service in English, Gujarati and Urdu. The callers will be asked to choose one of the following options

Press 1 – Dr.Selvarajans surgery

Press 2 –Deane Clinic Vision centre

Press 3 –Deane Pharmacy

Press 4 –PCT Podiatry

Press 5 –PCT physiotherapy

Press 6 –Ravat and Ray Dental Practice

Press 7—General Inquiries

 

Once you have selected the option 1, then you will be asked to press the following

Press 1 –Telephone consultation/same day appointments

Press 3 – Repeat Prescription

Press 4 –Test results

 

Appointments are at 10-minute intervals.  Please make one appointment for each person wishing to be seen. 

If you have multiple problems it may be possible to offer you double appointments.  Please ask the reception for assistance.

 

1.    Advance Appointments

You can book appointments up to 4 weeks in advance.  You will have a choice of Doctors and can request to see a specific Doctor.

2.    Non Urgent Appointments

These appointments will usually be offered within next 2 working days.  These appointments are for the patients who need to see the doctor soon.  Their case is not urgent for the same day but cannot wait for the next advance appointment either.  We will try our best to offer you, your usual doctor but this is not always possible.

3.    Urgent Appointments

If your problem cannot wait please telephone between 08.00 am till 10.00am or 1.00pm until 3.00pm and you should be offered an appointment or telephone consultation on the same day.  This is likely to be with next available doctor or practice nurse at the next available time.  Please facilitate the receptionist to help you.

4.    Walk- In-clinic( Doctor/Nurse Led)

We operate Walk-In-Clinic on Monday 09.00am-12.00am, and Friday 4.00pm- 7.00pm . The doctor or nurse will see the patients. This is strictly by first come first served. There will be potential long waiting time to see the patients. Please be patient!

Cancelling Your Appointments

If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the appointment to someone else that may need to see us.  You can cancel your appointment by:-

Missed Appointments

Any patients who miss an appointment without any notification will be sent a Did Not Attend Letter (DNA).  Patients who repeatedly do not attend their appointments will receive a letter informing them that the practice will consider removing them from the practice list.
